RFA Expands Industry Expertise
October 16, 2008 – Washington, DC – The growth in America’s ethanol industry is being reflected at the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA), the industry’s largest and oldest trade association. The RFA today announced the hiring of two ethanol industry veterans who will bring unparalleled expertise to the organization.
Jim Redding will come on board as the Vice President for Industry Relations, effective November 1. Redding joins the RFA after more than 20 years in the ethanol industry with Aventine Renewable Energy, Inc. He will serve as the chief point of contact at the RFA for member companies and others in the biofuels industry.
Also joining the RFA as Director of Market Development is Robert White.
White brings years of experience as a liaison between the ethanol industry and its customers. Most recently, White served as the Deputy Director of the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC). White began with the RFA on October 5.
“Jim and Robert bring an unmatched level of expertise and experience to the RFA and will greatly expand the scope of issues the RFA addresses on behalf of America’s ethanol industry,” said RFA Chairman Chris Standlee. “As the industry continues to evolve and grow, new issues and new challenges will arise. The addition of Jim and Robert will help ensure that the RFA continues to meet the needs of America’s ethanol producers and works to expand the production and use of fuel ethanol.”
