April 2009 Ethanol Production/Demand
June 30, 2009 - WASHINGTON, DC – According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), American ethanol facilities produced 640,000 barrels per day (b/d) in April 2009, virtually unchanged from March. Compared to April 2008, production is up 78,000 b/d.
Ethanol demand, as calculated by the Renewable Fuels Association, continued to strengthen heading into the summer driving season. According to RFA calculations, demand was 673,000 b/d, up from 644,000 b/d in March.
EIA shows fuel ethanol imports of 7.014 million gallons in April.
